Black Hills

Our next adventure was the Black Hills.  Ben had a work retreat in Deadwood and it was for families so we got to go and have some fun.  I love the Black Hills and always have.  I can remember our family vacation there when I was young and I have always had great memories.  It is a beautiful place and all about family adventures.  We went to Bear Counrty, Mt. Rushomore, a waterpark, a fish hatchery and explored their little Wild West cities.

We went to Bear Country and they had some huge elk.

Kashe couldn't get enough of the BEARS.  He really needed to get out of the car so he could get them.

This bear was killing us sitting like this.

Then he started eating his toes.

Again with the kissing:)

TWO

I can't believe Kashe is two.  He is like a boy now and not a baby.  At some point everyone will have to stop calling him Baby Kashe.  He has been so much fun.  I have to say one second  I love the two year old  stage and the very next second I dislike it.....ALOT:)  Its funny how quickly Kashe's mood can change.  He can be really sweet and funny and the next he can be fighting mad.

I LOVE how much he learns each day.  He can talk really good and learns the names  to new things daily.  He is really starting to get a little imagination and I like to sit and watch him play with his cars and act out little scenarios.  He loves to be outside.  Be in water. Play CARS, CARS, CARS.  Watch Ice Age.  Eat Popsicles and "FOT Dogs" He loves to play with his cousins.  He loves to throw rocks in the river.  He loves to read books.

He is getting more and more hair:)  That has been a long process.  It is still really blond.  It makes me wonder how long it will stay that way.  At his appointment he weighed 27 lbs 14 oz.  He was 2 FT 11 inches.

I can't believe how much I love this kid.

Happy Birthday Kashe

Kashe had his second birthday and it was alot of fun.  He got really excited about it.  We actually had nice enough weather we could be outside this year.  You never know in June.  His cousins came to party with him.

Ciny and Bos

We  were singing Happy Birthday to him in this pic and he was super excited.

Waiting for some presents to open.

Aunt Christine gave him and Lightning McQueen and Franchesco Car.  It was  the second  present he opened and he would  not put them down after that.  We couldn't get him to look at his other presents.  He played with them the rest of the night and then when we got home he went through his other presents again and it was like he had not even seen them the first time.

Chicago

For our next trip we invited daddy to come along:)  We met Ben's BFF's and their families in Chicago. It was a great trip and we had so much fun.  I was really nervous about traveling on a plane with Kashe but he did really good.  He slept the three hours there, woke up as we were arriving at the gate and puked everywhere.  Then puked in Eric's car when he picked us up.  Sorry Eric.  We gave him some Dramamin on the way home and he slept the whole way and did not puke so it was much better.

Kashe had a lot of firsts on this trip.  First time in an airplane, a subway, and a train.  He also saw his first professional baseball game and had his first Chicago dog.  I thought this was a great city.

We went to this little restraunt for breakfast and it was hands down the best breakfast ever.

Kashe loved the airplanes.  We knew he would since he loved anything that GOES!

Still........Road Trippin

Looking off  the Pier by the condo.

All the kids watching the surfers.

Mom and Kashe

A guy caught this shark right off the Pier while we were standing there.  Talk about scary to think we were swimming down below earlier.

We stopped in Vegas on the way home and  stayed with Amber's brother and sister in-law.  Kashe loved their pool.

Our last stop was in St. George to say HI to Grandma and Grandpa.

This is the car, packed to the max and the kids on the last leg.  They did so good but were ready to go home.

We just shoved powdered donuts at them.

This tells it all.

Road Trip Part II

Here we are at the zoo still and the kids are playing in a helicopter.  There was a huge line that you can't see in the picture but Kashe and Liam wouldn't get out to give someone else a turn.

Ashlee, Cogy (as Kashe calls him) and Kashe

I had to put this picture.  The Panda was my favorite.  He just sat their munching on a piece of bamboo and it looked like he was eating a big piece of celery.  He just looked at you like "get out of here and quit taking pictures of me."

Kashe, Mom and a Giraffe

There was  a hippo right up to the window with his mouth open so Kashe had to stand there with his mouth open too.

Trying to get a picture with all the dudes was impossible.  This was the best we did.

The Polar Bear exhibit.

Yes Kashe is wiping the bears bum. I have no idea why!

This boy will kiss anyone and anything!

The next day we went to LegoLand.  I love this picture because it tells you exactly how Kashe is feeling.  The only thing he wanted at this point was a nap.  He was so tired since we were on our third park in three days.  He almost fell asleep on the train.

Liam and Kashe loved this helicopter ride.  It was at the end of the day and alot of people had left so there was not a line.  So I let them go over and over and over.
